It is critical to ensure that the systems can be rolled back to its original state should there be any error during release
and deployment. The back out plan must therefore be executed and tested to ascertain if all components of the release can
be removed from the environment if the release fails. Tests should not only verify that the back-out scripts are error free
but also ensures that the resulting environment can be completely returned to its previous state.
Back out procedures must be updated whenever an issue is identified during this testing. The test results must be recorded
and communicated to all stakeholders.
